Well, Hello!

October 13, 2008

No, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth or stopped taking pictures. With my 8-6ish job and new developments, things have been quite busy in the camp over here. Fret not, though. There are plenty of things in the works which will grace this little blog soon enough. However, to actually update this here thing… I shall provide a few snap shots from our most recent trip to Natchez.

The husband surprised me (quite some time ago from the actual writing of this) with an anniversary getaway/babymoon. That’s right, there is a new photographer getting prepped to be born. I shan’t reveal any other details aside from the fact that we’re thrilled. So, if you book anytime in the near future, don’t worry about me as I waddle my way around the shoot!

To the pictures… The plantation house is the house we stayed in :) and if anyone wants to get married at that church, please contact me! I would love to do something there!

Natchez in the Wintertime

March 20, 2008

The husband and I went to Natchez a few weekends ago and had the chance to play in the snow! Although it was too light to catch any pictures of, here are some of the shots I took while walking around.

The husband and I went to Nottoway a while back… which is absolutely gorgeous! If you haven’t been, I highly recommend visiting it. Here are a couple of shots from the grounds of Nottoway.church-and-plantations-054-copy.jpg

Gateway Bible College of Evangelism

October 21, 2007

Before the conference, the husband and I walked around the absolutely gorgeous campus and did some shots. The campus used to be a Jesuit monastery before it eventually became a bible college. I loved all the ones I took, but I can’t post them all, so here are a few. They are also now in the hands of the fabulous Lee Ann, so look for them in Gateway fodder around you!

ETA: I get a lot of emails and comments about this post - which is crazy to me since they are from so long ago and my style and technique has changed so much since then, but I digress. I merely visited Gateway while going to a 90&9 event. I do not go there, have not attended, and am not affiliated with the college aside from the fact that I have an old friend that teaches there. I have no information as to how to start at Gateway, their choir, their class schedule, or their tuition to provide. Unfortunately, them be the breaks. I recommend contacting Gateway directly if you are interested in them and good luck going there if you do.

St. Louis At Night

October 21, 2007

After the Arch and the downtown shoot, we went to eat at an Italian restaurant on The Hill and to Ted Drewes Frozen Custard before heading to the Forest Park area. Enjoy.st-louis-090.jpgst-louis-091.jpgst-louis-097.jpgst-louis-103.jpg

The Infamous Sun Roof Shoot

October 21, 2007

So since the group of Bro. Kent Curry, Sis. Nita Curry, Ben, Lee Ann, Karla, Chantelle, and the husband knew that I love photography, the idea came about to drive around downtown St. Louis with the side doors of the Curry mini-van and sunroof open so I could attempt to take advantage of the scenery. I think the pictures came out really well for trying to take pictures as well as not to fly out of the van with Bro. Kent’s driving!

Title should be self-explanatory, these are a few shots from the top and inside the top of the Gateway Arch.

Meet Me In St. Louis

October 21, 2007

On a trip all the way up to St. Louis, MO, from Baton Rouge, LA, (a 10 1/2 hour trip by the way) for a conference, we got to explore the infamous Gateway Arch. Let me say that those pod elevators are a no-go for anyone claustrophobic, but perfect for small people like me.
