The husband and I went to the swamp by our house one very chilly weekend. It would be beautiful in the spring, but in the dead of winter (even in Louisiana) it was down right cold and almost uncomfortable! I took a lot of funny pictures, but I’ll spare you those (the husband doesn’t want to be a feature on my sites).
A friend of mine wanted me to take a few shots around the LSU Lakes for a scheme he was devising. He proposed to his gal by making a flashcard photo timeline of all the dates they had and places they went together. Since they had a picnic around the lake and I live over by LSU, I got to get out and terrorize the ducks and dodge the oncoming traffic for him.
While the wonderful Ms. Mandy Roberts, soon-to-be Mrs. Mandy Ducote, took the husband and my engagement pictures, I took a few shots of the place we went because it was so idyllic.
The husband and I went to the arboretum by our house. We had a lovely day of walking around, picnicking, and taking pictures. All was grand except that I am allergic to most plants and broke out in hives that lasted for two days.
