Alli and Luke finally tied the knot on a rainy day in the city. The lovely bride Alli got ready at both W hotels (on Poydras and Chartes) and the ceremony and reception were held at Southern Oaks. This group was absolutely hilarious and I had a blast spending the day with them and watching all the antics.
Here’s a little bit of the action:

My old friend Laura and her husband eloped a couple of years back and had their marriage blessed by the church today. It was a simple affair, but absolutely lovely. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to share this day with her. Here’s a peek at her wonderful day:
Congrats y’all!

I had the pleasure to do photos for Bridal Boutique in Baton Rouge for my friend Robin who worked there. The girls had a great time modeling and I had fun taking pictures for them. Here are some of the shots of the lovely girls and the beautiful dresses they modeled.

I had the rare good fortune to do pictures for Bustle at the Louisiana Bridal Showcase and had a blast. The owner is a sweetheart – Auds even made friends with her! Here is a sneak peek of the lovely dresses and even more lovely girls.

Be sure to check them out at www.bustlebatonrouge.com and their blog bustlebatonrouge.blogspot.com.

I got the opportunity to shoot brides (rather models donning wedding dresses - and with my camera, of course) for the Louisiana Bridal Showcase in Baton Rouge this weekend. Emily Hudspeth was the knock out hair and makeup designer/artist/ wonderwoman that did Bustle’s brides. Here are some shots of the lovely hair she did.

Be sure to check her out at www.emilyhudspeth.com!

Not only did my cousin-in-law get a bunch of free senior pictures, but she also had me as her personal photographer for her graduation. The Acadiana Prep School graduation ceremony consisted of all of 12 people and took about an hour. It was a stark difference from my class of 200+. Here are a couple of shots of the day. I just love Molly’s face as JoJo is fixing her cap!

My best friend asked me to shoot the USA reception of her sister’s wedding. Cassie and her love, Tyler, got married after Tyler made it home safely from Iraq. Since the ceremony itself was in Jamaica, they had a local reception so everyone was able to see the happy couple. Although the husband and I took a detour through Donaldsonville and saw a car get pulled out of water on our way to Berwick, we made it and had a blast. Here are a couple of shots from the second big day.

This bunch was absolutely hysterical (a map and a flashlight were involved with finding the garter) and the ceremony was truly special. Liz and Nick were so in love and this day was the perfect way to document it. And it was my husband’s first time being exposed to line dancing… the look on his face was priceless! Congrats, y’all! Enjoy your honeymoon!

The ceremony was gorgeous (even though I kind of ran a red light to make it there), the group was hilarious, and the couple was amazing. Here are a few of the many shots of the rest of the big day.

Brandi and Justin got married at their temporary church in Metairie while their home church is being rebuilt after Katrina. I had a blast with the couple and their attendants, and their ceremony was truly special. While getting her hair washed, Brandi told me she knew she would marry Justin before they even dated… 2 years later it came to fruition! Here’s a sneak peek at the occasion, and, as backwards as it is, I’ll be posting her bridals later this week!
