I did Dom’s Christmas card pictures simultaneously with the triplets’ pictures below. This little man knows how to work the camera for me. Just look at those eyes! One of his Christmas card pictures is displayed, but his mommy already posted it on Facebook, so I should be good posting it here. Look at this gorgeous little boy:
Baby Dom’s Christmas {Lake Charles Area Children’s Photographer}
December 5, 2009 by stephanieleblancGrantham – Johnson Family {Lake Charles Area Family Photographer}
December 5, 2009 by stephanieleblancBrandy and Traci asked me to take Christmas photos of their three absolutely amazing kids Arden, Brock and Colin. Although getting a set of triplets to look at the camera all at the same time is quite a challenge, we had fun. Reindeer antlers, trains, monster trucks, and “rockin’ out” were the topics of conversation today. I had a blast with these three and really hope to work with these gorgeous kids in the future. Here’s some of what we did:
Youth Rally Rehearsal {Plaquemine Area Event Photographer}
November 29, 2009 by stephanieleblancNot only am I a photographer and mommy, but I’m also really involved with the youth at our church. My husband is the guitarist/part-time keyboardist and I used to sing before our little one was born. We both teach Sunday school and help out with whatever is going on at our church.
This Friday, Dec. 4th, we’re having a Youth Rally. Today our kids rehearsed for the big day. If you’re in the Plaquemine area and need something to do on Friday night – 7:00, come to Abundant Life on the corner of Main and Bayou. Here’s a couple of shots of our kids working on their big performances:
Fall on the Bayou {Plaquemine Area Scenic Photographer}
November 29, 2009 by stephanieleblancThis post is just for fun. My husband and I got to church a little early this morning, and this is the view that greeted us across the bayou. It was so beautiful that I couldn’t help but take a few shots, especially since I had all my gear for afternoon photo shoots. Here’s a look at how gorgeous it is:
P.S. I’m not sure why wordpress made the pictures on the previous few posts smaller than normal. Sometimes it doesn’t like me like that. Sorry to my fabulous clients that your pictures are small!
Thibodeaux Family {Breaux Bridge Area Family Photographer}
November 29, 2009 by stephanieleblancIn addition to taking photos of his business, Dr. Ben asked me to take some photos of their family. Although he has a slew of pictures of his adorable little girl, they haven’t had any taken of his little boy – until now! Here we are still at the lovely Isabelle Inn enjoying the warm fall weather. Mr. Bonz even made an appearance and had his picture taken for family portraits.
Breaux Bridge Chiropractic {Breaux Bridge Area Business Photographer}
November 29, 2009 by stephanieleblancDr. Ben and the awesome ladies at the Breaux Bridge Chiropractic clinic asked me to do some photos for their Christmas cards and coming-soon Web site. We headed out to the Isabelle Inn (where I did the Landry family photos), to see what we could get into. The idea was professional, yet natural. What do you think? Did we get it right?
Nichole and Danny {Hammond Area Engagement Photographer}
November 28, 2009 by stephanieleblancNichole and I went to high school together way back when and she asked if I’d be their photographer. Of course I had to say yes! We went out to an amazing old strawberry farm and had a blast before heading to downtown Hammond. We even had a brief stop in the restaurant where they had their first date. Everyone in the area MUST go to Tommy’s on Thomas, the people there are AMAZING!!
Here’s what we got into today:
Dog-Gone Fun {Baton Rouge Area Couple Photographer}
November 15, 2009 by stephanieleblancMichelane and Caleb are no strangers to me or this blog, for that matter. They decided they wanted to take pictures for their Christmas cards at the new dog park at the Burbank BREC park. It is an awesome place, so if you have a dog and are in the area, be sure to check it out. Bosco, Zoie and Oatie had a blast basking and playing in the afternoon sun and even my little one jumped in some pictures with Nannie and Parain. Here’s some of the fun we had:

Blogging Has Awards?
November 15, 2009 by stephanieleblancI use this blog (obviously) for business purposes to give all of the masses out there (coz I know there are just millions of faithful readers) a sneak peek at the latest work. Well, I received comment on a recent post: “You have received the Gorgeous Blogger Award! A dear friend really brightened my weekend with this award, so I thought I would cheerfully pass it along to you! Rules: list six little-known facts about yourself, then recommend six more bloggers that deserve the title.” Since I know everyone really wants to know the photog behind the camera (right? c’mon? please?) I’ll try to play along.
6 Little Known Things About Me:
1. I wanted to be a singer growing up. I had voice lessons and sang in school. I thought I was horrible, but if Britney Spears could do it (no offense all Britney fans), then I could do it. However, showing my midriff wasn’t something I was going to do. And when presented with the opportunity to sing now, I shy away and pass on the offer.
2. I have an oddly shaped head. Maybe this one is too personal? I fell down the stairs when I was little and now have a couple of odd flat spots back there.
3. I love to read, but never do. I have hundreds of books at the house and hundreds more on my want-to-read list. But I never find the time to read them.
4. I constantly question my ability as a photographer. NOT what you want to hear from the person you’re paying to shoot you, right? I don’t suppose that it’s a false humility as rather wanting to make sure that I really do provide good work to clients.
5. I’m constantly growing/changing/developing as a photographer. Kind of what you’d WANT to hear? A little better than the last confession? Just as we grow as people, I’ve noticed an evolution in my work and think that’s important. Learning more about photography and composition and being able to give new dimension to photos is what a good photog should do. I think I’d be a little afraid if my pictures remained the quality that they were when I began shooting.
6. I am actually kind of afraid of blogging/facebook/online media that I write. It’s not the fact that it’s public or that my work is out there for all to see. No, it’s the fact that I’m afraid of typos and people seeing them. (So, if you see a typo in something I write, please send me a message so I can fix it and wallow in my embarrassment and sorrow. Thanks.)
And, since I’m not a big blog follower, I don’t know who to tag. So… if you read this and you have a blog, tag yourself! Fill it out. If you write about what you love, love what you write about, anything like that, you are a gorgeous blogger.
Thanks to Emily for tagging me. I hope this has cleared up any mystery that everyone has been wondering about 6 little known facts about yours truly.
Stay tuned, folks. Michelane and Caleb’s photo shoot is this afternoon, and their post will be up later this evening.
Landry Family {Breaux Bridge Area Family Photographer}
November 14, 2009 by stephanieleblancLittle baby Cohen is right around a month and Nikki and Kelly asked me to do some photos of this handsome little man and their gorgeous family in time for Christmas. We went to the beautiful Isabelle Inn in Breaux Bridge right up the road from our houses (which Kelly’s family used to own). It is so pretty there and we took advantage of the lovely grounds and interior. Little Cohen was so tired he went straight to sleep after the last shot was snapped. Here’s a snapshot of our morning.
